Activate Portland Community Summit

Join us for a day of connection with each other and over 20 organizations committed to creating a more beautiful and connected Portland! This exciting day at the Leaven Community Center is filled with opportunities to network, attend workshops, and engage in meaningful discussions that empower our community to take action with a focus on regenerative agriculture, placemaking, social justice, mutual aid, community building, climate resilience, and land tending.

9:45am - 10:20

  • Doors open

10:20 am - 11:30 am

  • Talks by Kelvin Yunusa of DeRose Community Bridge, Mark Lakeman from City Repair Project, Je Amaechi of Unite Oregon, Cameron Whitten of Brown Hope, and Glyness Dean of Portland Placemaking Coalition.

11:30 am - 1:15 pm

  • Meet with organizations, explore volunteer opportunities, get inspired, and discover how to get involved.

1 pm - 1:45 pm

  • Lunch (provided) and networking.

1:45 pm - 3:45 pm

  • Open Space workshops, discussion and skill share. Learn, explore new ideas, find collaborative partnerships, try new things.

3:45 pm - 4 pm

  • Closing circle.
